thurday's thoughtsShe Believes

Been hearing this song for a long time and even had it as a ringtone for someone special, yet the the true meaning of the lyrics just dawned on me.

Did a quick search.. and boy, what beautiful words...

"She Believes (In Me)"

While she lays sleeping
I stay out late at night and play my songs
And sometimes all the nights can be so long
And it’s good when I finally make it home
All alone

While she lays dreaming
I touch her face across the silver light
I see her dreams that drift up to the sky
And she wakes up to my kiss
And I say it’s alright
And I hold her tight

And she believes in me
I’ll never know just what she sees in me
I told her someday
If she was my girl, I could change the world
With my songs,
But I was wrong

But she has faith in me
And so I go on trying faithfully
Forever in my heart she will remain
And I hope and pray, I will find a way, find a way..

While she lays waiting
I ask myself why do I hurt her so
What calls me on along this lonely road
Why don’t I turn around and head back home
Where I belong

While she lays crying
For she knows how my heart is ripped in two
I’m torn between the things that I should do
She deserves it all and I’d give it if I could
God, her love is true

Coz' she believes in me
I’ll never know just what she sees in me
I told her someday If she was my girl,
I could change the world
With my songs,
But I was wrong

But she has faith in me
And so I go on trying faithfully
Forever in my heart she will remain
And I hope and pray,
I will find a way, find a way..
While she lays
While she lays for me

wednesday's thoughtsUnsettled

Feeling so good but it makes you feels bad.

Strange huh? That's what I'm feeling currently. Can't elaborate much as I've no intention of facing any music anytime soon.

Ever had this kinda feeling?

tuesday's thoughtsFor every couple...

Talk about equality of the sexes!!

You have to read to understand.. click on the pics for a bigger image.

For the guys...

For the ladies... (grrr..)

tuesday's thoughtsLost & Found

At a time when confusion, doubts and hesitation are beginning to set in, someone dear once told me...
"Have faith"

Held by the strength of these two words, I soldiered on.

If mistrust is the force that tears happiness aparts, the faith would be the superglue that binds them together.

tuesday's thoughtsWould you be there...

Just added a new song to my playlist... It's actually a theme song from a mandarin drama.
Very moving lyrics (courtesy of Sophia)..

Would You Be There - Redwan Ali

If I were blue, would you be there for me,
And whisper in my ears that’s okay,
Would you stand by me, let me hold you tight,
And say you love me one more time.

If I feel good, would you slow dance with me,
And touch my lips with tender love and care
Would you die for me, would you run with me,
And never look back..

Would you be there to love, to be with me?
Would you swear that your love is always true?
Would you say that you’ll always be the one,
to take my breath away?

Would you be there to love, to be with me?
Would you swear that your love is always true?
Would you say that you’ll always be the one,
to take my breath away?

Would you be there…

If I were grey, would you still think of me?
And wish that you could hold me now,
Would you die for me?
Would you run with me?
All away…

Would you be there to love, to be with me?
Would you swear that your love is always true?
Would you say that you’ll always be the one,to take my breath away?
Would you be there to save my soul tonight,

Would you swear that your love is always true?
Would you say that you’ll always be there,
to kiss my pain away?

Would you be there to love, to be with me?
Would you swear that your love is always true?
Would you say that you’ll always be the one,
to take my breath away?

Would you be there to save my soul tonight,
Would you swear that your love is always true?
Would you say that you’ll always be there,
to kiss my pain away?

Would you be there…for me…

monday's thoughtsI'd like to have 1 please.....

One of the best ad I've seen in a long while.

monday's thoughtsSole Proprietorship or A Partnership

Marriage is just like business. No?
Let me convince you...

You got yourself a hot date (finding an attractive partner).. you go out.

You hit it off (After finding both had common objectives and interest are well-aligned.)

You decided to take the next step and enter into a relationship. (Where the more serious terms & negotiations are meted out.)

Disagreements and arguments surface (Each party trying to protect and increase their own benefits).

After surviving this period.. (where each party are satisfied with the general terms & conditions), marriage is arranged. (A formal legal contract is signed).

You got married. (The corporate merger took place..).

After the honeymoon, a huge fight breaks out.. (At times, certain criteria's are left out in the initial negotiation stage).

Both begin to have second thoughts. (About the benefits of merger.)

As with Singapore's marriage certificate, it has a year's annulment clause

( 1 year's warranty period?).

Brings a whole new meaning to 'work' doesn't it?

monday's thoughtsFine words...

A meaningful poem compose by my friend Jeremy..
Very relating..

Sorrow

Working in this company,
Living with no money.
Passing each day with feet dragging
Helplessly watching time fleeting.

Alas, when will this end,
How did we get to this sorry end.
God knows our pain,
Working in this dreadful rain.

With each passsing day we pray
That someday we'll leave this lay.
For out there the grass is green,
Whereas here the future is grim.

With every prayer we make,
We hope to change our fate.
Life's not just about working,
It's got much to do about living.

We live to work,
Or do we work to live.
As the days get longer,
The answer seems to get further.

friday's thoughts300

Nope.. it's not the cool film "300"... but it's my blog's 300!
Woohoo.. maybe some of you would recall my 100th post... seems not that long ago but wow, how time flies eh? 300 entries... hmm.. damn, do I have so much nonsence to sprout?!
Haha.. next target... my 500th post. =P

friday's thoughtsNews Flash!!

Time: 3.10pm
Venue: East Coast Park area, Singapore

Another sign that the end of times are upon us...

For my overseas readers who might not understand what the fuss is all about... seeing a whirlwind or tornado in Singapore is akin to experiencing snowfall in the Sahara desert.

Hmm.. maybe it'll start snowing here one day.

Armaggedon??

friday's thoughts My (office) life on video..

It's been a quiet week, hence the lack of posts. Been pretty cope up in office.. not in much of a mood to blog too.. ever since my life in office has been to turn into a reality TV show.. with only 1 audience.. my BOSS! Grrrr...

Human rights? Tell that to him...!

wednesday's thoughtsJailbird

When is a workplace more unbearable than a prison?

When your boss starts bitching like a girl about the minutes you spent for toilet breaks, the 10 minutes you were late to return after lunch and how much time you spend working.

When your boss starts behaving like some paranoid parent by installing CCTV with SOUND scrutinising your every move, actions and speech!

When your boss starts becoming like some possessed auntie who lives and breathes "Feng Shui" and starts putting ridiculous objects like a 1-meter long mirror in your room and hanging some voodoo-like stuff on the office entrance.

Somehow, I feel inmates are treated with more respect.

Beginning of the end?

sunday's thoughtsDo you know..?

It's high time we get some really useful knowledge that will even astound and baffle Professors, Lecturers and the wise old man with 1 eye and lives in a cave somewhere far far away...

Ready??

FUCK

OK

Hahaa.. relax.. I'm not cursing you... ever pondered the origin of these 2 commonly used words?
Well, curiousity got the better of me.. and after a perilous hour of intense googling... I finally found it!

Interested to know??

FUCK

In ancient England, people could not have sex without consent from the King. When people wanted to have a child, they had to solicit a permission to the monarchy, in turn they would supply a plaque to hang on their door when they had sexual relations.
The plaque reads... " Fornication Under Consent of the King " (F.U.C.K.)

This is the origin of the word.

OK

During historic civil wars, when troops returned without any casualties, a writing was put up so all can see which read "0 Killed".

From there we get the expression "O.K." which means all is good!

There.. who say bloggin has no educational values??! =P

friday's thoughtsExpressing you

Just read an
entry from someone's blog of her dad passing away.. it's really sad.. and it really got me thinking about the Asian culture.

Why is it so hard for us to express our emotions and feelings to our parents?

"I love you"..

just 3 words.. but it takes a herculean effort just to utter it to them. Speaking from the horse's mouth, I can understand why...

I wanted to.. I tried, best I could do is express it in a card. To be really honest, it feels awkward to verbally express it, but before you start condemming me.. and telling me how much I'd regret when I don't have the chance anymore when I wanted to in future... "let he who is guilt-free cast the 1st stone".

I'm determined. Determined that I'd not allow this kind of culture to evolve in my future family.

I'm always filled with envy with the countless american sitcoms and movies showing their family cultures... "I love you" has almost the same headcounts as"Bye".

It's not easy for me to change this with my family now.. but at least I know for my very own future family, I can set the type of culture.. "freedom of expression". Where "I love you"s shall float freely amongst all family members and it's a pre-requisite to "bye".

friday's thoughtsChange

Ever felt like driving a car... but feel that something is not quite right, but still continue as the car has been with you for years.. and you're really comfortable with it.

But 1 day.. along comes another car, seems to suits you perfectly. It's more fuel efficient, more responsive and most importantly.. u can finally control the car.. and not vice versa.

Will you change?

thurday's thoughts New Love

Looks like I'm due for a confession.

Yes, my heart has swayyed. It was more than love at 1st sight. It was lust at 1st sight. It's really indecent, I know.. especially since I'm already commited to one now.

But.... I simply can't resist her deep sensual eyes that really sparkles like the stars in the sky. Her sexy and smooth curves... and that rear, oh! It's.. shall I say, fierce?!

God.. I'm totally smitten! But being such a beauty, her expectations must be through the roof.. for now, I can only admire and salivate from afar.. pinning hope against hope that one day... just one day, she'll be mine.

Guess you must be really curious to see this beauty, right?

Let me introduce.. she's S5, Audi.

thurday's thoughtsMother's Day

Some belated pics of Mother's Day...
Went to Long Beach Seafood at Marina South.. food's medicore but service was exceptional............. exceptionally slow!

Overall

Not that fantastic..

tuesday's thoughtsSorry..

Apologies for the lack of posts these few days as work has been terribly hectic and exhaustive..
Simply 'potato-couching' on my bed the sec I reach home..

Well, a huge load has just been loaded off my mind today.. so, expect more whining and rubbish from me soon! By the way.... more of my cruise pics are on the way.. hehehehe.........

wednesday's thoughtsHave you....

Ever wondered..

...why the sun lightens our hair, but darkens our skin?
...why women can't put on mascara with their mouth closed?
...why you don't ever see the headline "Psychic Wins Lottery"?
...why "abbreviated" is such a long word?
...why doctors call what they do "practice"?
...why you have to click on "Start" to stop Windows?
...why lemon juice is made with artificial flavor, while dishwashing liquid is made with real lemons?
...why the man who invests all your money is called a broker?
...why there isn't mouse-flavored cat food?
...who tastes dog food when it has a "new & improved" flavor?
...why Noah didn't swat those two mosquitoes?
...why they sterilize the needle for lethal injections?
...why they don't make the whole plane out of the material used for the indestructible black box ?
...why sheep don't shrink when it rains?
...why they are called apartments when they are all stuck together?
...if con is the opposite of pro, is Congress the opposite of progress?
...why they call the airport "the terminal" if flying is so safe?

Did that get your mind thinking??
On a lighter note... These labels really got me cracking....

On a bag of Chips:
You could be a winner! No purchase necessary. Details inside. (the shoplifter special?)

On a bar of Palmolive soap:
"Directions: Use like regular soap."(and that would be how???....)

On some frozen foods:

"Serving suggestion: Defrost." (but, it's "just" a suggestion?!)

On Nanna's Tiramisu dessert (printed on bottom):
"Do not turn upside down." (well...duh, a bit late, huh)!

On Marks & Spencer Bread Pudding:
"Product will be hot after heating." (...and you thought????...)

On packaging for an iron:
"Do not iron clothes on body." (Wow.. we learn something NEW today?!)

On Nytol Sleep Aid:
"Warning: May cause drowsiness." (and...I'm taking this because???....)

On most brands of Christmas lights:
"For indoor or outdoor use only." (Are there others?)

On Nobby's peanuts:
"Warning: contains nuts." (talk about a news flash!)

On an American Airlines packet of nuts:
"Instructions: Open packet, eat nuts." (Step 3: maybe, uh...burpp?)

On Boot's Children Cough Medicine:
"Do not drive a car or operate machinery after taking this medication." (Didn't know 5 year olds could even touch the pedals?!!)

Anymore to add...??

wednesday's thoughtsRestless

Was supposed to hit the sheets early tonite... am terribly exhuasted. But somehow my mind kept drifting away.... wandering around different neighbourhoods of thoughts.

Been having a little uneasy feeling these few weeks... thoughts came and went. Some were of certain uncertainty.. Kinda like if you're on a speeding runaway train... Praying it would stop safely... at times it seems to slow down, you rejoice... looking forward to embrace the earth again. Then it speeds up, cruelly shortliving your happiness.

Painful isn't it?

hiazz..

Shit.. it's getting late & this old man should really try to get some sleep... Nitez....
