Is it still there?

Love..

Touchy subject.

I doubt the very existence of it... at least the true essence of it.

The pain & hurt of it... is just a normal rite of passage for many but is there really such a thing as True Love?

How do u define it anyway? What is true and what is not? To many people, that questions has many answers. Each speaking from the bliss or pain of it.

To me.. I'm beginning to stop answering that question.. and begin questioning the Question itself.

Does it really exists in today's materialistic society?

Sad to say... NO.

Guess the only way of being happy.. is to be alone.

For good.

I should be getting happier now....

Shouldn't I?

nah... i feel shit.. not sure how to express it better.. but just damn rotten mood.

I'd like to quote Desire from the Sandman comics. From the 'Kindly Ones', Desire was talking to his/her grand daughter Rose Walker.

Rose: Love... Have you ever been in love?

Desire: You might say that.

Rose: Horrible isn't it?

Desire: In what way?

Rose: It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens your heart and it means someone can get inside you and mess you up.

You build up all these defences, You build up this whole armor, for years, so nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from an other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life...

You give them a piece of you. They don't ask for it. They do something dumb one day like kiss you or smile at you, and then your life isn't your own anymore.

Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so a simple phrase like"maybe we should just be friends" or "How very perspective" turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart.

Desire: How pictureque.

Rose: It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It is a soul-hurt, a body-hurt, a real get-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain.

Nothing should be able to do that.
Especially not Love.

I hate love.

Or maybe perhaps, Love is meant to bring you the greatest joy and also the immense hurt one can ever experience.

The Endless, the anthropomorphic projection of consciousness comprises of Destiny, Death, Dream, Destruction, Desire, Despair and Delirium. Things that we all experience as human beings. It somehow shapes our lives and defines who we really are.

Adieu.
